    Hello Arlene,
    I loved your elevator pitch! It was engaging, informative and even funny! I hadn't heard of your product before but after hearing your proposal, I think it is a great idea. I lose socks all the time and it is really frustrating! I like how you hooked your audience at the beginning with an interesting quote and later went into detail into how your product worked. Great job!

    Hey Arlene, I think your elevator pitch was wonderful and your idea is interesting. You included quotes and some comedy to keep the audience engaged. Concerning possible improvements speaking a bit faster and more vigorously may hook the audience better, but those suggestions come with more practice. Also do you know why socks disappear in the washer and dryer? I am interested to know why, good stuff none the less.

    I loved your introduction! "Death, Taxes, and Losing Socks." That has me hooked! I would just encourage you to be a little more energetic when talking about the sock catcher. This is an idea that most people who do laundry can use! This is definitely a very cool and interesting idea! Great job!

Tenacity provides perspective in placing short-term difficulties in the context of a higher goal. It is the thread that binds all innovators, entrepreneurs and problem solvers to one another, separating bona fide success stories from the wannabe entrepreneurs. Tenaciousness is a competency. The behaviors that I have used or developed to keep up with the requirements of the course include creating a schedule and managing my time wisely. Online courses allow students to decide when to complete assignments in their own time. At the beginning of each week, I look over which assignments are due, and determine which days to set aside to complete those assignments. Since there are usually two to three assignments due every week in the class, I set aside a day to complete each one. Opportunity: I believe that an opportunity exists for Starbucks to enhance their advertising and social media marketing methods. This belief comes from the experience of frequently visiting the Starbucks stores located on campus because the coffeehouse’s main advertising medium is the store itself. The unmet need is Starbucks potential to increase their advertising and social media marketing methods for various promotions such as offering BOGO (buy one, get one free) offers to consumers to encourage them to purchase a drink and receive one to give to a close friend.
